March’s ESA Meeting and Upcoming Events

The end of our 2023-2024 year is nearing an end. March’s meeting had the ESA graduating seniors as a panel answering a variety of questions to provide insight for the group ranging in conversations including plans following graduation for school or work, number of schools where they applied, planned major (if known) or certification, and recommendations for standardized tests.

Thank you to all the seniors for your insight and information you provided. We enjoyed it!

February’s ESA Meeting

We were privileged to have Shari Nelson and Amy Greenwell, Homeschool Dual Credit College and Career Counselors, from Collin College join us. They shared information about starting Collin College as an incoming freshman, taking dual credit college courses while in high school, receiving a degree from Collin College, and transferring to a different college from Collin College. And, they shared information about how this can be a cost effective approach along with details of things to consider and look into if you intend to transfer from Collin College to a different college.

Fall Group Service Project at Feed My Starving Children

We enjoyed an opportunity to serve together at Feed My Starving Children. Most of the group worked together packing boxes of food at a table. Several members helped with the warehouse, moving boxes from the tables to the warehouse and adding food for the tables to package.

September Meeting Kick-Off

Our first official meeting for the 2023-2024 year was held in September. It was the annual “ice-breaker Bunco” meeting. We appreciate the efforts by the officers for the ’23-’24 year and are looking forward to a great year!

October’s meeting will be a service project at Feed My Starving Children.
